What is it?
WebTuna allows you to monitor end-user performance as seen by your end-users for both websites and intranet applications such as Microsoft SharePoint.
WebTuna lets you know exactly how each page is performing for each individual user and keeps a history so that you can track the quality of service you are delivering over time. You can even automatically measure performance against a set of pre-defined Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
WebTuna’s Geo-Dashboard interface allows you to visualize on a single screen exactly what level of performance your users are seeing, and then drill down into response time by user, country, URL, page title, domain, referrer and more.
It can provide pro-active email alerting to let you know immediately when there are current performance problems on your site.
How does it work?
WebTuna simply requires a small JavaScript file (webtuna.js) to be included on your pages. This JavaScript collects all the key performance and analytic metrics and asynchronously sends them to the WebTuna data center for processing after the page has loaded and the window.onload event has fired within the users browser.
Which browsers are supported?
Any browser which runs JavaScript can be monitored. These days that covers all of the major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari and even browsers on mobile devices like Blackberry and iPhone.
