With more than 20 years of IT experience gained working for top government and corporate clients in Australia and the UK, Steve is an expert across a wide range of Microsoft technologies. He is an expert in web server infrastructure (IIS) and he covers everything the developer doesn’t - security, scalability, and high-availability; making it manageable, and designing monitored web hosting for internet or intranet applications.
In recent years his focus has been Web Operations, where he was web operations manager for www.totaljobs.com and www.tes.co.uk as well as web performance as Head of Professional Services to www.siteconfidence.com.
His client list includes Vodafone, CSFB, IBM, Schroders Investment, Norton Rose, Totaljobs Group and TSL Education.
Steve is the community organiser for the London Web Performance Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/London-Web-Performance-Group/) and has presented at a number of conferences on load testing, web performance and other topics (http://www.slideshare.net/sthair/).
Steve is a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) with the British Computer Society (BCS) and completed his MBA from Henley Management College in 2007.
